Sweet Jane Elderberry and the School Year (From Teachers!)

With school back in session, I wanted to talk to a few local teachers who use elderberry throughout the year. Working with all different age students, these teachers trust Sweet Jane to help keep their immune systems naturally high and to fight off those fast spreading school germs.

Here we learn from Katie K, Julie, Meaghan and Katie C. on why they use Sweet Jane and the benefits they have experienced while taking our syrup.

Hi Teachers! What grades do you teach?

Katie C: 3rd grade

Meaghan: Kindergarten

Julie: Special Education grades 5/6 and Health grades 4/5/6

Katie K: Special Education grades 2/3

What made you start taking Sweet Jane Elderberry?

Meaghan: “I met Carly at the Youngstown Flea and we started talking. We had a lot in common. She has young kids and I teach young kids. We both live in Poland. We even realized we only live a street away from one another (this makes delivery a breeze!). She filled me in on all the benefits of Sweet Jane and I was immediately intrigued. I’m a big fan of natural remedies if I can find them. I just knew that SJ would be a great addition to my medicine cabinet, especially during the winter months!”

Katie C: “The first thing that interested me in Sweet Jane Elderberry was the sweet person who created it. I was always so welcomed by Carly and always felt cared for. When she decided to start this, I knew it had to be something so wonderful and have the best intentions for others. A friend of mine surprised me with a bottle and that was the beginning for me. I loved having something that was going to help benefit my health and someone I trusted did all the research behind it.

Julie: “I heard good things about elderberry so when Carly and her mom started to sell, I wanted to try for myself. Plus, the added bonus of helping a small business.”

Katie K: “I started taking elderberry when I knew I would be going back into the classroom during the pandemic. I was looking for something that I could add into our daily vitamin routine, that would help keep myself and my family healthy throughout the school year.”

Do you notice a difference throughout the school year while taking Sweet Jane?

Katie K: “I definitely notice a difference while taking elderberry! Whenever I feel something coming on, I start taking it three times a day. I feel that it shortens the amount of time my symptoms are present. I also remember my daughter getting sick in the fall of 2020. I instantly started taking SJ three times a day and never caught what she had.”

Meaghan: “Yes. I like to think of it as a natural alternative to emergn-c. I double up when I feel the sniffles coming on!"

Julie: “Yes. I am not sick as often and feel better because of that. Being in the elementary you can get sick a lot because of all the germs. I feel like this helps my immune system and prevents me from being sick.”

Katie C: “YES! I am currently working with a lot of students from different classrooms. This increases the amount of germs that I am exposed to. I believe having a tablespoon daily of SJ truly helps prevents me from getting sick. If I do get sick, it lessens the length of my illness.”

What makes you continue taking Sweet Jane?

Katie C: “Not only is it great for your body and a piece of mind knowing you are doing something to prevent yourself from developing sickness- but the taste is AMAZING! The hint of cinnamon is my favorite!”

Julie: “I think it tastes really good, number one. Love that I get to buty it off a friend and small business and most importantly I truly think it helps my immune system and overall health.”

Katie K: “Because of all the benefits! Vitamins, antioxidants, boosting immune system, etc.. I’ve seen how it works. And because it tastes delicious!

Anything you want people (and other teachers!) to know about Sweet Jane Elderberry?

Meaghan: “Elderberries are all the rage these days. It seems drugstores are selling elderberry gummies and supplements to anyone who will buy them because of their beneficial properties. I would much rather get the benefits of the berries straight from the source than mixed with a bunch of random ingredients! SJ uses just a handful of familiar ingredients in their syrup. Plus, I love supporting a local, female owned business. FYI- it tastes so good too!

Julie: “SJ is so delightfully good. It can be put into coffee or an alcoholic beverage...which are two favorites of any teacher. Or can be taken down in a quick swig in the morning. Teachers need to jump on getting a bottle and fitting it into their routine so they can stay healthy for all their eager learners. Because we all know it is way more work to get things ready for sub!

Katie: “Sweet Jane Elderberry is such an easy way to help boost your immune system and as teachers we are exposed to all the germs every day. I know staying as healthy as I can is what is best for my family, myself and my students.

Teachers are amazing! You work does not go unnoticed and we are so thankful for you. Thank you for trusting in Sweet Jane this school year and letting us help keep you healthy and well.
